One day, after another stint of rolling around in the grass with our namesake, Charlie "Chuck," and photographing her into oblivion, I thought… Charlie oughta get a break from all these glamour shots. I’d say it’s time to bring this tomfoolery to the masses.

In truth, most of my life has been spent as as a kid of the dirt out with the animals. I grew up on a horse farm, where I burned through every cheap digital camera I could get my hands on, then eventually my first DSLR, pointed at every horse I laid eyes on. That love followed me to our family dogs, and later to just about any animal I crossed paths with.

My hope through our time together is to give you something that feels a little bit like coming home. An expression of gratitude for the right now that you know is impermanent, but you still hold onto it as tightly as you can anyway. Pictures have become my way of preserving that feeling.
